Here is a interesting Cheeseburger recipe that I found from the BBC
Now I do believe in England Roast Beast is Roast Beef.;

Ingredients

    * 2 slices of bread
* 1 slice of roast beast
* 1 slice of American cheese, such as Velveeta2
* A bit of butter or margarine

Prepare your Tools

   1. Take a non-stick skillet that will hold the bread and place it on the burner of your stove.
2. Get a knife and a spatula3 out; place them on a plate for now, since you don’t need them until you actually start.

Prepare your Ingredients

   1. Use the knife to spread butter (or margarine) on one side of each slice of bread.
2. Place the cheese and roast beast in between the slices to make a sandwich; the butter should be on the outside of the sandwich, not the inside – the buttered side faces out. This is what makes the sandwich an attractive, tasty, gold colour – that ‘Midas touch’.
3. Put your sandwich in the skillet on the burner.

Cook It!

   1. Turn on the burner to a medium-low temperature; use the spatula to flip the sandwich every minute or so until it is a nice golden-brown on the outside.
2. Turn the burner off and move the sandwich onto a plate; use the knife (again) to cut the sandwich into triangles4.

Eat!

You made it; eat it! Hopefully, the cheese should be melted to the bread and meat; eat it while it’s still warm. Best if served with Campbell’s Tomato Soup (use milk instead of water; it’s good that way. Add some cheese, too).

Now you may not know this but there are many different way’s to prepare a cheeseburger. Here is a great recipe that I found on cooks recipes.com

I would substitute the kaiser rolls for a good old fashioned hamburger bun. Other than that this sounds great!

The easy-to-make blue cheese sauce goes well with grilled steaks, too!

2 tablespoon plain yogurt
2 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese
1 tablespoon mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
3 green onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
6 kaiser rolls, split

   1. For sauce, in a small bowl stir together yogurt, blue cheese, mayonnaise or salad dressing, and mustard. Cover and chill until serving time.
2. Crumble ground beef into a large bowl. Add green onions, bell pepper, salt and pepper; mix well. Shape mixture into six 3/4-inch-thick patties.
3. Grill patties on an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 14 to 18 minutes or until meat in no longer pink, turning once.
4. To serve, toast cut sides of kaiser rolls on the grill. Serve patties in toasted rolls Top patties with sauce.

Makes 6 servings.

Submitted by: Naomi
“This takes a little more effort than the average cheeseburger, but is well worth it! Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.” Original recipe yield: 16 burgers.
INGREDIENTS:

* 1 pound sliced bacon, diced
* 5 pounds ground beef chuck
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 1/4 cup steak sauce
* salt and pepper to taste
* 1 pound American cheese slices

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat a grill for high heat.
2. Place bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry, stirring occasionally. When the bacon is almost done, add the onion. Cook until the bacon is crisp, and the onion is tender. Remove onion and bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon, and transfer to a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to chop finely. Do not puree. Pour into a large bowl, and mix with steak sauce and ground chuck using your hands. Form into 16 patties.
3. Place patties on the grill, and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Place a slice of cheese on top of each one during the last minute.

Well actually that is more of a issue of he had the first “trademark”. While the foodhistory site references the trademark in 1944. According to my research from kentucky.gov the ” Cheeseburgers were first served in 1934 at Kaelin’s in Louisville.” Now the lookup from roadsideamerica via a google cache Backs up my claim that Louisville is the birthplace of the <a href="href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheeseburger">cheeseburger
