Destined to repeat history.  Kentucky and politics, blood and wine.  The new house speaker is getting his “list” together of committee assignments.  No doubt patting his supporters on the back

It’s 11 p.m. and House democratic leaders are apparently still behind closed doors, trying to hammer out committee assignments. House Speaker Greg Stumbo canceled his speaking engagement at a Lexington Chamber of Commerce dinner to keep working toward decisions on which lawmakers will be on which committees. Stumbo’s victory in the Speaker’s race means a number of his supporters will take over chairmanships of committees. Stumbo told House members on Thursday that he’d have a committee list for them Friday morning.
