Looks like this tragedy should not have occurred.  How do you operate a airport with no runway lights?  Seems like a requirement to me.

Plane Crash In Lexington

This
morning, a Delta flight from Lexington to Atlanta has crashed near Blue
Grass Airport shortly after takeoff with about 47 passengers aboard. It
sounds very bad but there are no firm details yet, though CNN is
reporting numerous fatalities. I believe the plane departed sometime
after 6 am.
