Well President Bush will be holding a meeting in Louisville about Privatizing Social Security. I agree huge govt programs are not the best use of money. But does anyone else remember people losing their shirts on 401k’s because they did not invest money properly. What has changed in the last 5 years? Did everyone become master investors? Yes some limited amount of people do manage their money better than the govt. However, we are a nation of lousy investors.
If you really want to help american citizens teach kids in school basic money management techniques. That would really keep children from being left behind. Check out the principles of Dave Ramsey. Pay off debt don’t get a credit card. Of course this all goes against corp america that relies on us being hugely stupid about money. Anyways, here are some links
